A foolproof method to solve proportions.
 

Multiply 3 times 8.  Divide the answer by 4.  

3 x 8 = 24.

24 divided by 4 is 6.

The answer is 6.

 

 

Multiply 15 times 100.  Divide the answer by 125.

15 x 100 = 1500.

1500 divided by 125 is 12.
